Benefits of aloe in skin care...
We all know that aloe is good for your skin when distressed as with burns, but did you know what an incredible product it is for daily use? Aloe contains more than 200 active components including vitamins and minerals, amino acids, enzymes, polysaccharides, fatty acids, and more. It is one of the new natural substances that has real scientific studies verifying its healthful benefits.
Aloe penetrates tissue. Unlike water, aloe can be absorbed by the skin. In fact, it is absorbed deep into the the skin's layers. This is due to the presence of lignin (similar to cellulose). This allows it to act as a carrier for other lipids and vitamins allowing beneficial nutrients to sink in quickly and more effectively than by the use of alcohol.
Aloe works as an anti-inflammatory to the skin due to its content of salicylic acid which is a beta hydroxy. It also contains sterols which inhibit acute inflammation similar to cortisone, but without the negative side effects.
Aloe also acts as an anesthetic due to high magnesium content and aspirin-like compounds. That's why it eases pain associated with burns. It contains a compound called gibberellin, a growth hormone-like substance that increases protein synthesis. Also lectin which is a protein that increases collagen activity and improves the collagen matrix. These are reasons why it quickly heals conditions like acne or eczema while improving the overall health of the skin.
Aloe has antimicrobial saponin, which works as an antisepsis and barbaloin, which is effective against Mycobaterium (which is know to cause serious diseases).

Marshmallow is rich in mucilage, a humectant plant carbohydrate which is able to attract and hold water. Marshmallow extract hydrates and supports the moisture balance within the skin. It is a non-oily emollient with soothing and softening properties. Marshmallow extract softens dry skin and promotes flexibility and resilience.
Golden Organic Jojoba pronounced "ho-HO-bah"
This lovely berry oil (actually wax esters) is the one lipid that most closely resembles that of your skin sebum, your skin's own lubricating medium. This gives jojoba a natural affinity to the skin, so it is readily absorbed without making the skin feel greasy or tacky.
